Marco came and checked out the issue and patiently explained exactly what was going on and what it would take to fix it. Turned out it would require major rework and be very expensive. In our situation we didn't want to pay that much and decided to leave things as-is for now. Marco was very helpful and clearly knew a lot about stucco and EIFS. We offered to pay him for his time and trip, but he refused. We very much appreciated his professionalism and honesty.
